As a warning, this review contains HEAVY SPOILERS, so if you haven't seen the movie yet, stop reading before it's too late! Go see it then come back and check this out. In the mean time, you can check out my SPOILER FREE REVIEW HERE . Last chance. Ok, here we go!     Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has become one of the most divisive films in history, more so than its predecessor Man of Steel . From tone, to narrative, to plot points, BvS has given rise to the fan boy rage and it seems like it's only the beginning. For the sake of this review, I'm not going to debate the critical panning of the film. Rather, I'm gonna give you my take on the film as a whole and what I think this movie means for DC's cinematic universe. Whether you liked the film or not, it's here and we'll find that as the next few films come out, BvS is much more important than we realize. So, without no real structure or planned path to follow, let's delve into th

Holy crap, world! Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is finally here and it comes to us on the heels of scathing critical reviews and an overall divisive feel from fans who have seen it already. Much like Man of Steel split the viewership, BvS will ultimately do the same. Boiled down, of you liked Man of Steel , you'll like BvS . If you didn't like Man of Steel , you positively won't like BvS . Simple as that. Director Zack Snyder laid the foundation for a fantastic comic book world with these two films, and BvS holds nothing back in expressing its intent to build this cinematic universe. But when you get down to the nitty gritty, this movie will make a butt-load of money while ticking off a butt-load of fans. Just like Man of Steel did. But that doesn't mean it's not awesome!    Know going into this movie that there is a lot of stuff that happens. Watching it is like swallowing a turkey whole and then trying to digest it afterward. The movie starts

Review Catch-Up: "10 Cloverfield Lane", "The Witch", and "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot"

So a few months back I ventured to my local cinema to watch Michael Bay's 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi . I always get to the movies early because the previews are arguably the best part of the experience. I pride myself on my ability to keep up with the latest movie news, so more times than not the trailers that play I had more than likely seen already...multiple times. They still pump me up though, that's what happens when you're giddy for movies. That being said, this particular movie outing was especially memorable because it led to my jaw-dropping surprise when a little trailer for some movie called 10 Cloverfield Lane dropped in front of 13 Hours . I remember flying home after the movie and forcing my wife to watch the trailer online. The 2008 hit Cloverfield was such a monumental movie, fully embracing the then not-overused style of found footage filming. It was subject to genius marketing, and tons of fan theories. It's since become a c

"London Has Fallen" - An Extremely Entertaining Sequel

There was a time in movie history where action movies reigned supreme. Names like Schwarzenegger, Stallone, and Willis became synonymous with success. The 80s gave us some of the greatest action franchises of all time. Their action, violence, intensity, and memorable characters with their historic one-liners, fed our cinema hunger for a decade...until they petered out in the 90s. We just don't see those types of franchises anymore...until recently that is. This weekend's London Has Fallen , the sequel to the 2013 smash hit Olympus Has Fallen , hits theaters with a blast of awesomeness, reminiscent of those action gems of old.     Gerard Butler returns as secret service agent Mike Banning--the millennial John McClane--in this high-octane follow up. When London's Prime Minister passes away, all the world leaders make their way across the pond to pay their respects during his funeral. Mike leads the team of secret service agents tasked to protect President Benjami
